(More customer reviews)I bought this May 9th from a local 'big box' store. In my desperation over the sudden death of my refrigerator just as warm weather arrived I did not think about my many problems with my stove - a MAYTAG - the two times the circuit board went out, the oven thermostat that failed and the poor service from MAYTAG. After this unit was delivered I looked at my stove and hoped that it had been a fluke, or at least that MAYTAG made better refrigerators. Sadly about one month later a problem developed with the information unit located by the water/ice dispenser, the light will not go off. My husband and I tried to figure out what to do about this but since this thing does not come with a viable user's manuel we were at a lost. My husband has spent days calling MAYTAG customer service, negotiating numerous automated menus only to be transferred to a number that rings and rings but is never answered. He finally got a person and now I am spending part of my July 4th holiday waiting for a MAYTAG repairman who will arrive 'sometime between 8am and 5pm' Saturday, July 2nd.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY MAYTAG
UPDATE - The repairman came, the control panel needs to be replaced. It's an $800 part that no one has in stock so it must be ordered and will take a month to get here. So I get to spend another day waiting around for one of those 'between 8 am and 5 pm' appointments and of course the aggravation for have a semifunctioning weeks old refrigerator.
