(More customer reviews)This lock feels sturdy. However, as commented elsewhere, the sequence of buttons pressed does not matter. So the combination '12345' is equivalent to '54321' or '23451' , etc.
It takes a 5-digit combination, a 6-digit combination, or a 7-digit combination. Your best security is with a 5-digit combination because there are 252 5-digit combinations. (10 choose 5, mathematically). There are 210 possible 6-digit combinations, and 120 possible 7-digit combinations.
Assuming that the attacker (who's trying to break in) doesn't know how many digits you chose, this means there are 582 possible combinations. If we assume it takes about five (5) seconds to test each one, and you take a 15-second break every minute, then an attacker could find your combination in about 65 minutes. (582 combinations * 5 seconds / 45 seconds of work per minute => 65 minutes). And that's assuming yours is the very-last combination he tries.
