I chose not to use the stake mount, but rather mounted it on a facia board on a dock to control the outoor lights installed there. There is only one hole for the mounting screw if it is to be used that way -- two would have been nice, but one seems to be adequate. Another downside is that all six electrical ports operate on a single timed program, but that's the way the product is advertised and if it suits the user's needs as it does mine, you can't beaat it for the price.
